Oxygen and nitrogen separation device working principle of nitrogen generator

2024-07-01

The nitrogen generator is based on the basic principle of pressure swing adsorption and uses high-quality carbon molecular sieve as the absorbent to produce N2 from the air under a certain working pressure. The purified and dry air is compressed and used to pressurize and absorb in the adsorber to relieve pressure adsorption. Due to the effect of fluid mechanics, the diffusion speed of oxygen in the carbon molecular sieve microporous plate is much higher than that of nitrogen. Oxygen is preferentially adsorbed by the carbon molecular sieve, and nitrogen is accumulated in the liquid phase to produce the finished product N2.

LUGAS Advanced Gas Systems Co., Ltd. is a gas separation equipment manufacturing company. It has strong technical advantages in the Nitrogen Generator industry. Because of its focus and hard work, it is well-known in the industry and as a scientific and technological entity in many fields with its strong technology and high-quality and efficient services.
Today, the editor of LUGAS will talk to you about the working principle of the nitrogen generator and the oxygen and nitrogen separation device:

Oxygen and nitrogen separation device: There are currently two adsorption towers A and B equipped with special carbon molecular sieves. When the clean air enters the channel end of tower A and flows through the carbon molecular sieve to the inlet and outlet, O2, CO2 and H2O are adsorbed by it, and the product N2 is discharged from the inlet and outlet of the adsorption tower. After a period of time, the carbon molecular sieve in Tower A reaches a saturated state. At this time, tower A automatically stops adsorption, compressed air is injected into tower B for oxygen therapy and Nitrogen Production, and the carbon molecular sieve of tower A is recycled. The recycling of carbon molecular sieves is accomplished by quickly lowering the adsorption tower to superheated steam resin to absorb the adsorbed O2, CO2 and H2O. The two towers alternately carry out adsorption and regeneration, separate oxygen and nitrogen, and continuously output N2. The above entire process is controlled by a programmable control panel (PLC). When the N2 purity level at the exhaust end is preset, the PLC program works, the automatic vent valve opens, and the N2 that does not pass the test is automatically vented to itself, ensuring that the N2 that does not pass the test does not flow into the gas point. When the gas vents itself, use silencer to keep the noise below 75dBA.
